2nd Annual Miss Cinco de Mayo and 1st Annual Miss Teen Cinco de Mayo Pageant

SAN DIEGO, Calif.— Another festive event has been added to San Diego’s 2012 calendar!

The 2nd Annual Miss Cinco de Mayo and 1st Annual Miss Teen Cinco de Mayo Pageant will

take place on Friday, May 4th at the Lyceum Space Horton Plaza. This is the first Miss Cinco

de Mayo & Miss Teen Cinco de Mayo Pageant to be held in San Diego and officially kicks

off the Cinco de Mayo festivities.

The Miss Cinco de Mayo & Miss Teen Cinco de Mayo Pageant brings young women from

throughout San Diego County to compete for the title “Miss Cinco de Mayo or Miss Teen

Cinco de Mayo.” Contestants are judged in various categories including one-on-one interviews,

swimwear and evening gown. A scholarship of $1,000 Miss Cinco & $500 Miss Teen will be

awarded to the winners, along with the prestige of playing an active role in the community

and at Cinco de Mayo festivities. Miss Cinco de Mayo & Miss Teen Cinco de Mayo will also

be responsible for participating in cultural and social events over the following 12

months as a representative of San Diego.

Cinco de Mayo is the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration north of the border. Puente Productions hopes to give a voice to the many Latinas in the San Diego/Baja California region and

create a legacy for the Miss Cinco de Mayo & Miss Teen Cinco de Mayo pageant, which

will now be part of the annual festivities.
