It is hard to be involved in the San Diego music scene without hearing about The Howls and the amazing influx of fans the past few years have brought them. The five fellas released their latest album titled “Rocky Ground” this January and I dare you to experience the range of sentiment it inspires. The compilation is truly a journey in itself; each song bringing a new emotion to the surface while the instruments seem to find their respective places amongst each other in the most natural way. The sound is pretty indescribable; blending bits of country in with blues and rock to create a sound I can’t describe as anything other than smooth. The songs flow effortlessly and the album takes you along for an incredibly passionate and enjoyable ride that you can really get lost in.
