Dia de los Muertos Art Show

Art is not dead but in many local elementary schools, where funding for art programs has been cut or even completely cut off, art definitely seems to be dying. On October 22nd, however, David Varela and his friends at the Rhino Art Company will be holding a special Dia de los Muertos art show and fundraiser to help revive the art program in one very deserving local elementary school. The show will be held that Saturday, the 22nd, at the Gallery 97 in Encinitas. Each and every dollar and dime earned from the sale of Mr. Varela's original artwork will be donated to the Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in El Centro so they can then buy art supplies for students. Show up at 7pm for a raffle where you can win movie and concert tickets, gym passes, artwork, and more. Buy some art, help some kids.
