Fashion Whore: Gypsy/Fortune Teller Fashion Show

Fashion Whore always delivers a fun a varied fashion show and this Saturday, April 7th was not an exception. I got to see Andre Soriano, who was in a wonderfully jovial mood, and a new side to his clothing. Up until now I had seen his elegant and luxurious gowns, but now I saw his funky street style and it was definitely fun. There were faux fur vests in many colors and patterns - including neon and animal print - with tight pants/leggings and that was his staple for the night. There was also a metallic trend with a mini dress and a vest/pants and jacket/skirt combo, not to mention a body suit adorned with condoms.



Annette Loynaz

Annette Cerdas Loynaz really caught my eye with her very original bikini designs and flattering bathing suits. Her bikinis used a lot of two-tones but also unique asymmetrical cuts and geometrical designs. There was also the use of strings, or thin shreds of fabric taking the place of one side of the bikini top or bottom, leaving the other segment of fabric big enough to cover everything. There were vibrant yellows and blues, and a gorgeous tie-dye bathing suit.

Cat Lewis

Cat Lewis was big into prints and her long dresses and designs had a Caribbean feel. There were several pant-suits, an off the shoulder paisley ensemble, wide skirts, and tube dresses with floral designs. They looked comfortable but feminine.

Krystalyn Carmelo

Krystalyn Carmelo was definitely eye-catching with her beautifully feminine designs and silky materials. She really made use of ruffles which I hear are back in this season. I particularly liked her long ruffled black dress with a floral top with a slit in the back. Another piece was an elegant long white ruffled skirt and off the shoulder top. There was the use of metallic, and also short baby-doll dresses. Another look was a loose, flowy design with a short criss-crossed top and long flowing skirt. Good show.
