Mark Christopher Lawrence and Crew bring a night of laughs to The House Of Blues

Old Tiger

Mark Christopher Lawrence

Actor and Comedian, Mark Christopher Lawrence with co-producer Prayer Dudz hosted a night of comedy at San Diego's House of Blues Wednesday night.  AMB publicity rolled out the red carpet to welcome some Hollywood celebrities who posed with audience members at the end of the show to benefit Autism, Care and Treatment (ACT), a charity Mark actively supports.  ACT Today! is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness and provide treatment services and support to families to help their children with autism achieve their full potential.

The night included a musical opening by Old Tiger followed by three, very funny comedians: Jason Austell, Matty Goldberg and headliner and native San Diegan, Mal Hall.  From beginning to end, this lineup thoroughly entertained the House of Blues crowd.  Old Tiger is nearing the release of their next album, so check them out and keep an ear open for the release party.  Rumor has it they will be rockin' the Casbah for the party.  You can catch Jason Austell on NBC 7 every morning where he works as a news anchor.  If we're lucky, we'll see him on stage again soon.  He's very funny!  Matty Goldberg and Mal Hall are seasoned comedians with fantastically funny content and great stage personalities and presence.  Never stopped laughing.  Click on their links for future show dates.  You'll be glad you did.

Mark Christopher Lawrence will be back in one month's time to bring on another group of fresh, funny comedians and celebrities to the Gaslamp District.  We'll announce the next event here and on FB and Twitter.  With luck, we'll have a full story featuring Mark in an upcoming ArtsNFashion issue.  If Tom Joyner is the "hardest workin' man" in radio, Mark is the "hardest workin' man" in television, stage, comedy, film and theatre.  He just finished a run of "A Raisin in the Sun" at San Diego's Moxie Theatre and you will currently find him on stage starring in Ion Theatre's "Topdog/Underdog" with Laurence Brown, directed by the talented Delicia Turner Sonnenberg.
