May 23, 2012 - Charity and fashion went hand in hand at “Beyond the Runway” produced by Fashion Forward and presented by television personality Leonard Simpson at the Cornerstone Church of San Diego in La Jolla. This theatrical fashion presentation included a wide variety of boutiques and designers from San Diego and presented the apparel in magical and dramatic scenes each with its own theme. The proceeds go to Inner City Youth, and Sonya Berg and Ramin Pourteymour, both of whom serve as chairs to said organization, spoke at the fashion show. Actress Amanda Baker served as hostess to this ambitious production which included an auction, singing, and dance numbers. Some of the boutiques which participated included Better Deal Tuxedos of La Jolla, Chloe Jewelry, Deja Chic Boutique, Mona Lisa Boutique, Flashbacks Vintage of Hillcrest, Georgeiou of La Jolla, La Femme Chic Consignment Boutique of Solana Beach, Tommy Bahamas, Twirl Boutique, and Wyatt and Health Couture Hats. The designers included Britboy, Crown Divas Gowns of Beverly Hills, Furs by Graf, Gloria Parker Couture Head Pieces, Mia Bella Couture, and Wyatt and Health Couture Hats.
